Woman lives off the grid for 30 years

Australian woman Jill Redwood build her house in South Eastern Australia almost 30 years ago and lives almost completely off the grid.  She runs solar panels and a small waterwheel in the local river for power and lives off of around $80 a month.  Chickens for eggs, veggies from her garden, fruit from her orchard, and goats for milk and eggs.  She gets all her water from rainwater and the river near her house.  The drive to the store is around an hour and a half away which she says she really only needs to go get Vegemite (Australian food spread) and chocolate.  Meanwhile I can’t go 35 seconds without checking Facebook.
