Bands Pay Tribute To Chris Cornell

After the passing of Chris Cornell from Soundgarden, bands around the world paid tribute live in concert.  Bands like U2,  Metallica, Stone Sour,The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and more all took time to pay their respects.

U2 played “Black Hole Sun” through the sound system before they came on stage and then dedicated a song to Chris at the Rose Bowl.

Metallica’s bassist played “Black Hole Sun” while on tour in Boston.  Lead singer James Hetfield also said, “We forgive you, Chris” after playing “Unforgiven”.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers played a song called “Seasons” while on tour in Indianapolis.  “Seasons” was a song Chris Cornell performed on the soundtrack to the movie, Singles, in which Chris also had a cameo.

Aerosmith dedicated “Dream On” to Cornell while on tour in Georgia (the country)

“Rock On The Range” in Ohio paid tribute to Chris Cornell as Soundgarden was schedule to perform at the festival.

Corey Taylor (Stone Sour/Slipknot) covered “Hunger Strike” by Temple of The Dog live in Ohio at “Rock on The Range”

Corey also dedicated a cover of Pink Floyd to Chris.

Megadeth covered “Outshined” by Soundgarden in Tokyo, Japan

Bush covered :Black Hole Sun” at Rock on The Range

Live covered “I Am The Highway” in Ohio

Scott Stapp (Creed) covered “Black Hole Sun”

The Cult dedicated the song “Sound & Fury” to Chris Cornell live in Houston.

Queensryche performed “Say Hello to Heaven” at the Hard Rock in Biloxi, Mississippi.
