Dolly Parton, The Queen Of Country Music and global icon, has passed away at the age of 80 according to a statement from her family.
Dolly won a Lifetime Achievement Award, 11 Grammys, was in the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York. She founded Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library that mailed free books to children from birth until they began school and had her own theme park, Dollywood in Tennessee.
Both “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You” were written by Dolly Parton on the same day.
