Donovan had some big hits, like Mellow Yellow, Sunshine Superman, and of course Hurdy Gurdy Man.  There is more to Hurdy Gurdy Man than just the song though.  Two people met that day working on the recording of the song….two people that would really have an impact on music.  It was the meeting of John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page, and we all know the band they went on to form.  So to celebrate the 75th birthday of Donovan, let’s enjoy Hurdy Gurdy Man one more time.
