I have always enjoyed listening to Dr Demento, and one of  my first jobs in radio was playing the show on the air.  Off of vinyl.  I actually had quite a collection of old Demento lp’s until a leaky roof destroyed them.  Sad day.

I was on the phone with my mom the other day, and she made mention of her friend of 80 some years moving in to the same facility she is in.  I said that the management had better be ready for you two, and she said something to the effect that they may have to send the both of them off to the funny farm if they don’t behave.  And that made me flash back to this delightful Dr Demento favorite….”They’re Coming To Take Me Away”
