It’s called Playing For Change, “Our primary focus is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos we call Songs Around The World.” I’ve never seen one of their videos before, and if you haven’t either, then this is a great one to start with. Robbie Robertson and Ringo Starr are the anchors of this performance of The Band’s “The Weight”, a song that is perfect in it’s original form, but this…or should I say these…performances bring it to a much bigger level. As you watch the video, imagine just walking sown the street and seeing the artist performing right there…I’m sure I’d have to stop and watch…out of view of the camera of course….I’m not a fan of cameras.
