I have a goal planner that I fill out every month with (usually) unrealistic tasks I set for myself. This month, I jotted down a 5×5 squat at 160 pounds. I don’t really squat for strength. I squat for hypertrophy but eventually you gotta up your weight or up your sets…and eff cardio sets! So we did a little 5×5 challenge this week. I’m pretty lazy and complain whenever I have to work harder and smarter when it comes to legs. I wanted to wimp out today….knowing full well I’d flunk my goal for the month.
