I’ve never been big into sports. In school I was usually that kid that was picked last, or tried to find some way to keep from getting picked at all. Thankfully no one else in my home cared for it either (although my Dad enjoyed Sumo Wrestling) so there was no “big push” to get my skinny and socially awkward adolescent self into a locker room.
Thankfully though game day is made for all of us! While most people are watching football, I’m saving my nachos for the commercial breaks and waiting to see what ads for movies, video games, ect. will make me want to jump onto the internet so I can watch them again on repeat (I’ve watched the Morgan Freeman vs. Peter Dinklage ad at least 30 times). Big game day ads have become a sort of miniature Comic Con, giving us exciting full trailers and sneak peeks of upcoming shows, specials and movies. We got a good look at the new Jurassic World, the next installment of Westworld, another tease for the upcoming spring release of Avengers:Infinity War amongst others, but my personal favorite? The new stand alone Star Wars film Solo: A Star Wars Story. The excitement for that teaser was so high you could practically feel a virtual high five between Forrest and I from across town.
Now excuse me while spend the next 3 months playing Star wars games to help ease my anticipation.
