The times they are a changing

I feel like Bob Dylan when he first walked out with an electric guitar, am I betraying a part of who I am or am I just embracing the future?  I’ve decided to sell my entire CD collection.  I just don’t listen to CD’s any more, I have Metallica “Hardwired…To Self Destruct“, Gregg Allman’s “Southern Blood” in my 6 disc changer in my car along with a bootleg copy of a future solo release from Tesla guitarist Frank Hannon that he left in my car. (name dropper)  Other than that they are all in the furthest storage place in my house from the front door.  That how little I use them, and I have a lot.  Before I was a radio DJ I was a moblie DJ for years.  I’d DJ bars, weddings, parties, etc…

I’m just tired of lugging them around, I have to move AGAIN this weekend and I thought; “Nope, this is it.  I’m done.”  It’s kind of sad as it symbolizes the end of CD’s and also me growing up.  Might as well embrace it and move on to the next music format.

FYI if you want to pick though my collection it’s at Record World Record Shop on Broadway in Boise.  All 9 crates worth. – Forrest
