Wow what an amazing movie, Logan is Hugh Jackman’s last Wolverine film as he’s been Weapon X since 2000’s “X-Men” and this is the film I’ve been waiting for. It’s sad, it’s funny, it’s brutal and it’s full on Old Man Logan with nothing left to lose. I didn’t realize there was more the studio could do to attract my attention until I saw Logan. I’d actually put this in my top 5 favorite movies of all time, but I’m a Marvel fan and an even bigger comic fan.
I had Wolverine’s 1st issue when it came out..well I borrowed it from a friend and when my parents read it they ripped it up in disgust because Logan was murdering people and my parents worried about my fragile little mind. The cover said “$1.50” so that’s what they gave me to give back to my friend, they wouldn’t listen to me that it was worth well over $5 even though I could prove it in the latest issue in Wizard magazine. I’ve never been more embarrassed in my life than that next day of school. I’ve since re-bought that 1st edition issue and I’m not afraid to shove it in my parent’s face every time the value rises. Here’s a snapshot of my Wolverine collection, my Spider-Man and Hulk collection is twice this.
I only had 2 issues with Logan:

#1 is his daughter. Someone stealing your DNA doesn’t constitute you having a child. Why not make it really his kid? Basically it would be Daken but updated to a daughter for 2017. It wouldn’t of taken any longer to do a quick flashback to a past love affair of Logan, he’s like 130 years old – he had to have gotten some strange. (He was born in the late 1880’s)
#2 how did the woman sneak a cellphone into a super secret genetics mutant weapons lab and put together such a fluid movie with perfect narration? Did you ever try a Facebook live video and completely bomb or better yet attempt to talk live on the radio and you forget where you were going? I have.
Those are just 2 minor plot holes and otherwise Logan is top notch. Old Man Logan is an excellent story arc but if you want to get into Weapon X I recommend “Ultimate Hulk vs Wolverine” where the Hulk rips off Logan’s legs and throws them over the mountain. This week at 4:30 PM I’ll pay tribute to Hugh Jackman on Name That Movie.
