How in the world can you choose!?

The 2019 class for the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame is past…other than the full show coming up on HBO next Saturday (6p MDT). So why not look forward to the possibilities for the 2020 class!? I think we’d all agree, every year the artists that get left out and often those picked to be inducted, makes NO sense! I think (but hey, it’s just my opinion) that there are some in this list that are NO BRAINERS to be in…and should have been long ago! So here’s the list of those newly eligible and those eligible as of many years back…and my choices, with my brief explanations.

NEWLY ELIGIBLE:  Oasis, Sleater-Kinney, Weezer, Korn, Notorius B.I.G.,

PAST ELIGIBLE, NOT IN: Foreigner (since 2002), Iron Maiden (since 2004), Doobie Brothers (since 1996), Motorhead (since 2002), Judas Priest (since 1999), Nine Inch Nails (since 2014), King Crimson (since 1994), Todd Rundgren (since 1995), Warren Zevon (since 1994), “Weird Al” Yankovic (since 2004),

MY PICKS FOR THE CLASS OF 2020: Foreigner (should have been LONG ago, are you kidding me!?), Judas Priest (a no-brainer!), Doobie Brothers (another ICON in music history, come on!), Iron Maiden (more than 100 million albums sold, over 2,000 world wide concerts!), Weezer (since 94′ they’ve had 23 songs land on the alt-rock Top 20 chart), and yes…Notorius B.I.G. (not actually one I think should make it, but in all fairness, in this day and age, you have to include the “rap/hip hop” genre anymore…it’s become a HUGE part of world music society!).

And when it comes to the actually Hall of Fame show…there have been some AMAZING performances over the years! Here are two of my all time favorities!  ~ Ron O’

Guitar legends Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page in 2009!
Who could forget this INCREDIBLE line-up at the 2004 performance!
