Former Eagles guitarist Don Felder has a new solo album on the way (April 5), his first since 2012…and he’s brought in some real heavy weights on the album! The album is titled “American Rock n’ Roll and you can listen to the title track below. Among some of the legendary artists that play on the album, is Slash…playing on this title track, he lives very near Felder, so that was a no-brainer! The title track, traces the history of rock music, name-dropping many of the genre’s greatest acts along the way (can you catch all of them?). None other than Mick Fleetwood start out playing the drums on this tune, and then it’s Red Hot Chili Peppers (and Chickenfoot) drummer Chad Smith hit’n the skins. Also making appearances on the album…Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, and Bob Weir! The title track is nothing fancy, but I like it! And with the all-stars Felder has brought in, I’m really looking forward to hearing the full album for sure! Don Felder is heading out on a tour as well starting January 31…with shows in Bend Oregon March 19, which I have booked to attend! Other shows in the northwest are Kirkland and Bellingham Washington, two shows in each city. ~ Ron
