One of my best friends is going through a divorce after 8 years, most of my friends are married or onto their 2nd marriage.  I waited until the end of my 30’s, I was never mature enough for a marriage.  Not in a bad way, I just was more interested in goofing around and having fun then trying to make a long term relationship work.  Hearing about my friend’s split has honestly scared me a bit.  8 years.  That’s a long time.  You can’t predict anything 8 years into the future.  You could never know that 8 years from now it won’t work.  More people are now waiting to get married like I did, so much so that the divorce rate in the U.S. has dropped 18% since 2008.
